Color Match

Color Match is a free 45-second reaction puzzle. The prompt at the top names a colour — emerald, violet, amber, crimson, azure or rose — and the board below shows six tiles. Find the one that matches the name and tap it. Every right answer deals a brand-new board with the tiles shuffled, so you can never simply remember where a colour was.

Speed counts, but so does care: a wrong tap takes a point away and knocks that tile out for the rest of the round. The timer bar along the top keeps shrinking, and when it runs out, the number of colours you matched is your score. Can you beat thirty? Forty?

Because the colour names appear in the language you play in, Color Match is also a light way for children to learn colour words — and a surprisingly good warm-up for grown-ups. Shades that sit close together, like crimson and rose or azure and violet, make you look twice rather than guess.
