Broomstorm

Broomstorm is a free 3D sports game on flying brooms that you play right in your browser. Two teams of six take to the air above a stadium in a valley of forests, a lake and an old castle on the cliff — by day, at sunset, under the northern lights or in the morning mist.

Pick your place in the team. As a chaser you grab the comet and throw it through one of the three rival hoops for 10 points; as a keeper you hover before your own hoops and catch the shots; as a beater you knock the buzzing hornets away from your side and send them at the rivals; as a seeker you hunt the firefly — a quick, sly little light that winks out and turns up somewhere else. Catch it for 30 points and the match is over.

Every match opens with its own show: fireworks over the towers, the teams flying in by formation, each side's own anthem and its fans clapping in the stands, a serpent of light or a fire bird over the pitch — never the same twice. Fly behind your rider or through their eyes, with music that swells when you go for goal.

A short training shows you everything by doing it: steering, the dash, catching, scoring and taking the comet back. A big arrow by your rider always points at what to do next, rivals wear a red sign and teammates a green one, so even the youngest players know where to fly. On PC, phone and tablet, no download.
